Change is upon us – Who or what is TYPE 40?
All things change and it is during a period of change, expansion and development that I find myself. You may notice that the header of this Website does not say The TARDIS Guy, you may also have noticed that the website has changed name along with the other platforms I “show off” on.
Why has this happened? Well there are a few reasons, one is that I have outgrown the TARDIS Guy label, another is that what I actually do isn’t represented by the name and I want to broaden my horizons. Another reason may have to do with the BBC recently contacting me. It’s OK, I have entered into a discussion with them about commercial contracts. Who knows where that will take me, meanwhile, I “rebrand” and essentially continue doing what I have always done, make stuff.
Oh yeah, I am also moving house and moving workshop too. That’s a big deal. WOW I hope I never have to do this again. Phew.
The stuff I make is why we are here reading this though, isn’t it. I don’t suppose you really mind what I am called, so long as I am making stuff and for that, I am eternally grateful.
In return for your eternal patience here is a peek at what’s on the workbench?
Wonder Woman Shield, woooooooooooooooooooooo!
Let’s start with what has me most excited, this Wonder Woman shield. It was brought up by a few people as something I should do so here it is. Well here is the start of it. You may have seen me posting about it on Instagram a bit. This shield is based off the Premium Format Statue I have seen around and is by far my favorite incarnation of her shield.
I am making this prototype and taking orders now for them. I haven’t finished pricing them yet. There is considerably more work in them than in a Captain America shield. I’m thinking the price will be in the $1200 to $1500 range.
That’s all for now, please bear with me as I get this all sorted. It will all be worth it. I promise.
